Lean Control in crisis Analysis of lean control systems' behavior in crisis situations, when vehicle stability is lost and driver/rider is trying to gain it back. Operation in crisis is what in my opinion defines a good lean control strategy of a tilting three wheeler. All related to tilting three wheelers, of course.
Motorcycle fair Budapest 04
A bunch of photos in size 1000x750, made with my digital Canon :) Nothing revolutional among displayed models of motorcycles but a few way cool Zodiac bikes and a lot of suspension, chassis and other details of a few modern machines. Also, a few rather XXX pix of a rather personal collection, because of which my brother will never be able to run for the president ; ) Enjoy....
been bored for 30 mins 23 Jun 04, the rear tire on the Honda was worn out, so we went to the highway to burn it, and in the process a few friends stopped by... quite an ordinary Summer day : ) besides the VFR, you can see a few closeups of a 748 (red, Boris) and a 996 (black, Atilla) Ducati
V8 sound pulses image Sound Forge software used to show firing order in V8 motorcycle engines, a Drysdale V8 and a Moto Guzzi V8... Unfortunately, the audio recording of the Guzzi machine was of low quallity. Making of this image was initiated by the question on the MC engine Yahoo group if the firing order of an engine can be recognized from it's audio recording, in order to figure out if some moto GP engineering crews are relying on the Big Bang phenomenon or not. Big Bang is one of those things that are not quite explained but definitely work, and here is one of my theories about pulsed rubber traction represented on a graph. This theory evolved as I learned more...
Images of results of analysis of motorcycle frame (featherbed in Norton Manx) made for a few critical situations, done by ANSYS software. You can see the principles used to obtain the loads acting on the motorcycle chassis and the von Mises Stress situation in the frame. More text on this chapter is yet to come. This analysis was a part of graduation paper of my dear friend Igor Soc (B.Sc.M.E. too), and I was humbly involved with a few engineering suggestions and bits of digital help here and there.
